The Longview Area Youth Symphony Orchestra, LAYSO, led by Mark Crim, Professor of Music at East Texas Baptist University, provides accomplished young musicians in the eighth grade to age 21 an opportunity to participate in a full orchestra, complete
with strings, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.
Young musicians from around the East Texas area audition to participate in these groups.
